Consequently, ACCA candidates hoping to use their debit cards to pay for their exams must have a rethink because the implication of this is that banks may soon start charging over N600 per pound.
 
Another means to pay for ACCA exams cheaper is to pay your exam fees into the designated ACCA Nigeria's bank account. You can pay through the account with details below:

If you are making a deposit at the bank or through a bank transfer your registration number MUST be written in the telephone number field with the telephone number or as a remark in the appropriate field during transfer.

Thereafter, send a CLEAR COPY of the deposit slip if a deposit was made at the bank or scan /send a confirmation of the transfer with your FULL NAME and Registration Number to Nigeria.Payments@accaglobal.com by email.

ACCA to phase in new CBE exams

ACCA students should now have discovered the ‘approved’ learning partners for the first phase of the introduction of CBE exams for papers F5 to F9, due to begin this September.

Only certain learning providers will be offering tuition for the CBE exams. So while students at some colleges in London (BPP and Kaplan) can opt to study for CBEs, this option will not be available elsewhere, in Birmingham for example.
It appears the ACCA has decided to use both September and December for a phased approach to the introduction of CBEs, before opening them up more universally in March 2017. Students will, of course, still be able to sit the paper exams as normal during this time.

Cheaper Ways To Pay for ACCA Exams

It is no longer news that the value of Naira has plummeted in recent times. International students and importers now face a harsh reality when seeking to pay certain fees. Banks like UBA now charge as high as N550 for £1.

People seeking to pay fees abroad cannot continue to rely on the exorbitant rates adopted by Nigerian banks, hence the need to look for cheaper means to pay such fees.

ACCA candidates can use one of the following means to pay for their exams:

1. Open an account that is domiciled in pounds. Demand for your debit card. Thereafter, proceed to fund your account when the exchange rates are somewhat favourable. The funds in your dorm account will not be susceptible to volatile changes in the exchange rates. The CBN has lifted the restriction on depositing foreign currencies into dorm accounts.

2. Get a relative or friend staying either in the US or UK to pay on your behalf. Such a person must have a Nigerian bank account and must be the type that usually need to send money to Nigeria. Now, £1 is approximately $1.50. Let's say you get someone in the US to help you pay £100. £100 is

Dealing with Paper F8 - Audit & Assurance

Introduction


The F8 Audit and Assurance exam tests students' knowledge of auditing and assurance theory but also, very importantly, their ability to apply that knowledge to scenarios that they might well come across in their auditing careers.


The examination team's approach interview is available on the F8 area of the ACCA website, along with an examiner's analysis interview looking at student performance in various exam sittings, which highlights how students can improve their performance.


All questions on this paper are compulsory so any topic from across the syllabus could be examined. As stated above, it is essential that students possess both knowledge of auditing and assurance and the ability to apply that knowledge to situations that could arise in real life.

Format of the paper


The exam is a three-hour paper consisting of twelve multiple choice questions (MCQs) and six compulsory written questions. You also have 15 minutes for reading and planning.
